Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information Idle Hacking collects, how it is used, when it is shared, and the choices available to players.

Effective Date: March 17, 2026 Last Updated: March 17, 2026

1. Who We Are

Idle Hacking is operated by GigaForge Games ("Idle Hacking," "we," "us," or "our"). You can contact us using the details in the Contact Us section below.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Account information you provide: username, password, and an email address if you choose to add one.
  • Platform account information: if you link or create an account through Steam, we store your Steam account identifier and link metadata.
  • Connection and security information: IP address, authentication token metadata, and related login/security records.
  • Gameplay and account records: player progression, inventory, chat participation, settings, moderation history, and similar in-game account data.
  • Purchase records: order identifiers, payment status, product purchased, and entitlement history for Premium purchases. We do not store full payment card numbers.
  • Browser-side storage: first-party cookies, local storage, and session storage used for login state, settings, and gameplay continuity.

3. Why We Collect It

We use information for the following purposes:

  • To create and maintain player accounts.
  • To authenticate users and keep them signed in.
  • To operate the game, save progress, and provide multiplayer features.
  • To enforce game rules, investigate abuse, prevent fraud, and apply account or IP-based moderation actions.
  • To recover access to an account when a player has voluntarily added an email address for password recovery.
  • To process purchases, grant digital entitlements, handle reversals, and keep financial records required for business and tax purposes.
  • To diagnose reliability or security issues.

4. Specific Notes About Email Addresses and IP Addresses

  • Email addresses are optional. If you add one, we use it for account recovery and related account-security communications.
  • IP addresses are used for security and enforcement. We record IP addresses to support authentication, rate limiting, fraud prevention, and account/IP ban enforcement.

5. Cookies and Similar Technologies

Idle Hacking uses first-party cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and support gameplay/session continuity. For example, the game stores an authentication token and certain local UI preferences in browser storage.

You can usually manage cookies and storage through your browser settings, but some parts of the Service may not function correctly if you disable them.

6. Third-Party Services

We use third-party providers in limited circumstances, including:

  • Steam for linked account authentication and Steam-based purchases or entitlements.
  • Stripe for browser-based payment checkout.
  • Google Fonts to load certain web fonts used by the public site and game UI.

These providers may receive information such as your IP address, browser/device data, platform account identifiers, or purchase-related identifiers as needed for their services. Their handling of that information is governed by their own privacy notices and terms.

7. How We Share Information

We do not sell personal information. We may share information:

  • With service providers that help us operate the Service, such as hosting, platform, and payment providers.
  • If required by law, regulation, legal process, or valid governmental request.
  • To enforce our rules, detect or prevent fraud or abuse, or protect the rights, property, and safety of players or others.
  • In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of all or part of the business.

8. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the Service, maintain account records, enforce rules, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and protect the Service. Different categories of data may be kept for different periods. For example, security logs, moderation records, and purchase records may be retained longer than ordinary gameplay-session data.

9. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of your personal information. To make a request, contact us using the information below. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and we may keep information where the law allows or requires retention.

10. California Privacy Disclosures

We do not sell personal information and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are commonly used in U.S. privacy laws.

Our website currently does not respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals in a different way than other traffic because there is no uniform industry standard for such signals.

11. Children’s Privacy

Idle Hacking is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to us, contact us and we will review the issue and take appropriate action.

12. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information. No security measure is perfect, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

13. International Use

We operate from California in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to and processed in jurisdictions that may have different data protection laws.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the revised version here and update the "Last Updated" date above. Material changes may also be communicated through the Service when appropriate.
